Susie  Shortt  is an award winning violinist. She started playing violin at an early age under the direction of Katherine Sasaki of The Katherine Sasaki Suzuki Violin School Academy. After her completion of the Academy, she studied with Anne Foreman.

She has taken improvisational classes with Jazz Violinist Randy Sabien. She received a Masters Degree in Music Education from University of Tennessee. Susie is a member of the American Music Federation ("AMF"), Local Music Union 256 and 369, Alabama Bluegrass Music Association, Fiddle Players Union, Suzuki Academy Association, Southwestern Bluegrass Music Association, and Southern Old Timer Fiddle Association.

She has been featured on Bravo and the Food Network, has appeared on Nashville Television Series, and made appearances in NASCAR commercials. She was recently featured on Grand Ole Opry Radio WSM 650 AM. She has performed the National Anthem for various MLB, NBA, NHL and SEC teams throughout the country.

Susie has recorded and performed with various entertainers such Wayne Newton, Temptations Review, Jennifer Holiday, Bo Bice, Ruben Studdard, and Ronnie Milsap. Susie is seasoned player and recently released two albums, available on Amazon.

Susie  is in high-demand as a premier artist in the wedding industry. Her expertise include but are not limited to classical violin, classic rock, bluegrass fiddle, jazz, hip/hop, R&B and gospel. She has received honors, and Artist of the Year awards from some of the top online wedding platforms.

She also has a second home base in Las Vegas, Nevada where she has been a sought-after addition to events all over the Southwest. These dual home bases allow her the flexibility to travel wherever her clients need her on the West Coast, East Coast, or anywhere in between.

She is an accredited music instructor specializing in teaching the Essential Element Method by Hal Leonard in Ukulele studies, and Suzuki Method in violin, viola, and cello. The John Thompson Series is her choice of teaching method for classical piano studies. She enjoys playing any style of music and customizes song selections to each of her clients’ needs creating the personal soundtrack for their events!

In her free time Susie enjoys traveling, bike riding, motorcycles, reading books and spending time at home with her two cats Elvis and Gracelynn and her dog, Bella.
